Why is it worth spending holiday in our region?
Tourism and agritourism.
Rich natural resources lakes and forests favour the development of tourism and agritourism. In summer, thousands of sailors visit the largest Polish lakes situated in Mazury. An additional advantage of our region is the large number of unique monuments small palaces, manor houses, churches. What is particularly interesting is the route of 12 gothic castles located around Warmia, Mazury and Powiśle, in which real knights can be seen! An event which has gained a permanent place in the calendar of events is the re-enactment of the battle of Grunwald, in which the Teutonic Knights were defeated by the army of the King Władysław Jagiełło in 1410.
For music lovers, the Warmia and Mazury region offers a series of summer concerts and festivals, the most popular of which include ;Piknik Country; in Mrągowo and ;Rockowisko; in Węgorzewo.
For those who enjoy direct contact with the nature, the inhabitants of our region propose hundreds of agritourism farms, in which they offer traditional Polish cuisine and various attractions, such as canoeing, horse riding, fishing and many others. SPA holiday centres spring up like mushrooms you can recuperate here and relax far from city noise.
The area boasts a unique historical attraction on a global scale The Ostróda-Elbląg Canal. Ships travelling through the canal overcome land obstacles on trucks, using special ramps. Just like 100 years ago, ships are again travelling across the land only in our region! This is absolutely worth seeing.
The land of milk and honey
Milk, cheese, bread, honey, cured meat and many other traditional Polish food products meeting the highest EU standards are produced right here, in the province of Warmia and Mazury.

The companies operating in the Warmia-Mazury Special Economic Zone use the most modern technologies of production; therefore, their operation is not harmful for the natural environment.
We are dealing here with the phenomenon of sustainable development, consisting in rational usage of natural resources without excessive pollution of environment and with the development of environmentally friendly industry applying advanced, proecological technologies. Polish standards in the field of environmental protection often exceed the standards that are applicable in other countries of the European Union, which ensures the full protection of the natural environment.
Our investors
The Warmia and Mazury Region is not only an area of beautiful nature and monuments, but also an investment site for such global giants as LG and Michelin. Abundant raw material resources and many years of tradition in woodworking have made our region famous for furniture. A lot of companies of Polish origin operate here, successfully exporting their products to the markets of the whole world. They were recently joined by IKEA, which opened its factory in our province.
